RBS Announce the Acquisition of ABN Amro

After much speculation RBS announced the Acquisition of the Dutch Bank ABN Amro. The Announcement signaled one of the largest financial transactions in history and Storm Events were proud to be at the centre of the communications in ABN Amro's UK base at 250 Bishopsgate. Some of the many tasks set to Storm that week were a presentation to 1500 employees on the 3rd floor of 250 Bishopsgate, a live and post webcast, filming of the event and an audio conference. All of these events were produced with less than 3 days notice.

National Rail Conference 2008

Storm were again proud to be involved in the National Rail Conference. Following a number of years providing event management and graphics services to the Conference at the QE2 building in Westminster, the conference organisers made the decision to use a new venue, The Marriot in Grosvenor Square. For the 2008 event Storm were contracted to provide a complete event support package from delegate management to full AV services.

...."Staging an event is always a stressful business, so you need a manager with great technical and management expertise on the one hand, and solid people skills on the other. Do yourself a favour, avoid wasting too much time and give Dave's team at Storm a call. We've been working with them since the company was formed and it's always both a success and a great pleasure. The Storm team work like they're members of your own team - and whilst this is just as it should be, it is actually very rare. Whatever the event, Dave has never let me down and he's fun to work with too. I'd recommend him without reservation".... Nigel Harris ( Managing Editor, Rail Magazine )

Emap announcement at the Royal Lancaster Hotel

Storm Events have a long standing relationship Emap and were on hand when Guardian Media and Apax purchased the B2B part of Emap Plc. It was a busy week and with only 5 days notice Storm Events had to organise a staff meeting for 1000 people at The Royal Lancaster. As well as handling all the conference media requirements the Storm technical team installed a flown D&B speaker system, bespoke set & staging, all the AV equipment required for the event and a stage lighting system.

Storm Stream provided a post webcast of the event using the live video footage recorded on the day and the powerpoint/keynote presentations from the speakers. The following Monday a live webcast was broadcast from Emap's new offices to give an update on developments. Both webcasts were viewed by staff across the globe.

Teach First Awards 2007 - The Royal Courts of Justice

Teach First is an innovative initiative to get high flying graduates from the country's top universities into schools after graduating, prior to going into industry. In 2005 Storm were brought in by production company Rolling Sound to provide a full production service to the first ever Teach First Awards.

The glitzy 2007 awards were held at the Royal Courts of Justice in Central London and saw over 600 people attending. The challenging venue saw Storm fielding a large team of skilled engineers and technicians from across the industry to meet the tight load-in schedule that was presented to them.

The project was managed from start to finish by Dave Auchterlonie and with sound design by Andy White and lighting design by Sara Burns. The event was an overwhelming success.

...."Storm Events were thoroughly professional throughout the planning and facilitation of all our events, we would definitely use them again".... Thomas Hegarty, ( Director, Rolling Sound )

Volvo Ocean Race - ABN AMRO Team
